Introduction
PedalsUp has evolved, and our new identity is a reflection of that change.
When PedalsUp started in 2018, our focus was on helping businesses build software products and bring their technology ideas to life. Over the years, that work expanded naturally. We began working more closely with clients on product strategy, engineering decisions, automation, AI-powered products, dedicated engineering teams, fintech, Web3, and other technology challenges that went well beyond traditional software development.
The work had changed, but the way we presented ourselves had not fully caught up.
That is why we decided to rebrand PedalsUp.
We have not changed our name, and we have not moved away from software engineering. Instead, we have updated our logo, redesigned our website, and reworked our positioning to better represent the company we have become and the work we are doing today.
For us, this rebrand is not about starting over. It is about bringing the different parts of PedalsUp together under a clearer identity and giving our clients a better understanding of what we can help them build, improve,e and transform.
A rebrand built around how PedalsUp has grown
A new logo and website are the most visible parts of a rebrand, but they are not the reason we made this change.
The decision started with a much simpler observation: PedalsUp was doing more than our old positioning suggested.
Our clients were coming to us with increasingly varied technology requirements. Some needed a product built from the ground up. Others already had a product and needed help improving the technology behind it. Some were looking at AI and wanted to understand where it could actually make a difference. Others needed to automate processes, strengthen their engineering capabilities, or bring experienced technical resources into their existing teams.
We were already solving these problems. What we needed was a brand that communicated that breadth more clearly.
Today, our work covers product engineering, AI transformation, automation, fintech, real estate, deep tech, Web3, and other areas where technology plays an important role in how a business operates and grows.
The new PedalsUp identity brings these capabilities together while keeping the engineering foundation that has been part of the company from the beginning.
We are still a software company, but that is no longer the whole story
Software engineering remains at the centre of what we do. We build web and mobile applications, SaaS products, ecommerce platforms, websites, AI-powered products and other digital systems for businesses across different industries and markets.
At the same time, we have learned that building the software is often only one part of the problem.
A company may need to add AI capabilities to an existing SaaS product without disrupting what already works. An operations team may have a manual process that can be automated. A business may have valuable data but no clear way to connect it to an AI workflow. A founder may have a product idea and need an experienced team that can take it from an early concept through development and launch. A growing technology company may need additional engineering capacity without taking on the time and cost of building an entirely new internal team.
These situations require more than development resources. They require an understanding of the product, the business requirement, and the technology choices that sit behind them.
That is the role PedalsUp increasingly plays with its clients.
Our services are now organised around two connected areas: Product Engineering Services and AI Transformation.
Product Engineering Services cover the products and platforms businesses need to build and scale, including web and mobile development, SaaS development, AI product development, ecommerce, Web3, design engineering and dedicated engineering teams.
AI Transformation focuses on helping businesses identify and implement practical uses of AI across products and operations. This includes AI strategy and roadmaps, AI agents, workflow automation, data pipelines, AI integrations, and implementation through offerings such as AI Quick Start and AI Embed.
Together, these areas provide a clearer picture of the work we already do and the direction in which PedalsUp is growing.
AI has become part of how we think about technology
There is no question that AI has changed the way businesses think about software.
It has changed what can be built, how quickly ideas can be tested, and the kinds of technology questions that founders, product teams, and business leaders are asking. For PedalsUp, this means AI is no longer a separate conversation that sits alongside software engineering. It is increasingly part of the products we build, the workflows we improve and the technology decisions we help our clients make.
That does not mean AI belongs in every product or every business process.
In some cases, an AI feature can make an existing SaaS product more useful. In another, the opportunity may be to automate a repetitive internal workflow. An AI agent may be appropriate for a clearly defined operational task, while another business may first need help identifying where AI could create meaningful value before investing in implementation.
The important part is understanding the problem before deciding on the technology.
This is one of the reasons we introduced AI Quick Start. Businesses often know that they need to explore AI, but they do not necessarily know where to begin or which opportunities are worth pursuing. A focused starting point can help identify practical opportunities and move them towards implementation without turning the process into a large, open-ended transformation project from day one.
We see AI as an important part of modern product engineering, not as a replacement for the engineering discipline required to build products that work in the real world.
Our role with clients has evolved as well.
The biggest change at PedalsUp is not a particular technology or service. It is the role we want to play when a business chooses to work with us.
Technology projects rarely succeed because someone simply completed a list of development tasks. The better outcomes usually come when the people building the product understand what the business is trying to achieve, have enough context to make informed technical decisions, and are willing to take ownership when something needs to be questioned or changed.
That is the approach we want to bring to every engagement.
Our work starts with understanding the requirement and the business context before deciding how the technology should be built. Depending on the project, that can involve discovery, planning, product and design work, engineering, quality assurance, launch, and ongoing support.
We also believe continuity matters. Clients should not have to keep explaining their product to a new team every few weeks or wonder who is responsible for a particular decision. Our approach is built around clear ownership, a dedicated point of contact, and consistent technical resources through development, go-live, and support after launch.
Whether we are building a new product, extending an existing engineering team, implementing AI or helping a business work through a difficult technical decision, the objective remains the same: understand what is actually needed and take responsibility for helping get it done.
What has changed with the new PedalsUp identity?
The simplest way to describe the rebrand is that the name stays, while the identity around it has evolved.
We have introduced a new logo, refreshed our visual identity, redesigned our website, and updated the way we talk about our services and capabilities. More importantly, the new positioning brings together the different areas of work that have grown within PedalsUp over the years.
The new identity is built around ideas of connection, movement, progress, and possibility. The central form of the logo represents continuous movement and interconnected ecosystems, while its upward direction represents growth and forward momentum.
These ideas are closely connected to how we think about technology.
An idea only becomes valuable when it moves beyond the initial concept and becomes something that can be built, used, and improved. A product needs to move from planning to development, from development to launch, and then continue evolving as the business and its customers change.
That is the kind of progress we want PedalsUp to represent.
The new identity therefore gives us a clearer way to communicate something that has been part of our work for years: technology should help businesses move forward, and the right technology partner should be involved in more than just the development stage.
Built around the problems businesses are actually solving
The businesses we work with are at different stages, and their technology requirements can look very different.
A startup founder may need to turn an idea into a working product without building a large internal engineering organisation. A CEO may need technology work that is closely tied to a business objective. A CTO may need experienced engineers who can take ownership of complex delivery or work alongside an existing team. A product leader may need help making difficult product and technical tradeoffs, while an operations leader may be looking for practical ways to reduce repetitive work through automation or AI.
There is no single technology answer for all of these situations.
The starting point has to be the problem.
This has become even more important as AI makes it easier to build prototypes and generate technical output. Creating a proof of concept can be relatively quick, but turning that idea into something that works reliably within a real product or business is a different challenge.
The technology has to work with existing systems, data, processes, and users. It needs to be secure, maintainable, and appropriate for the way the business operates. Someone still needs to make decisions about what should be built, what should not be built, and how the pieces should fit together.
That is where product engineering experience and technical judgment continue to matter.
Where PedalsUp is going next
Since 2018, PedalsUp has grown from a software development company into a broader technology partner. Today, we have worked with more than 80 clients and delivered more than 200 projects across markets including the UAE, UK, USA, and Australia, with offices in Ahmedabad, Dubai, and Singapore.
These numbers are part of our journey, but they are not what prompted the rebrand.
The reason is that the company behind those numbers has changed.
We are now bringing together product engineering and AI transformation in a way that reflects the problems our clients are asking us to solve. Software development remains an important part of that work, PedalsUp is a product engineering company building software, AI systems, and scalable digital platforms for high-growth industries. 🛠️ pedalsup.com
